Summer Activities
Ladder Ranch and the Little Snake River Valley are rich in Summer recreational opportunities.
At the Home Ranch, summer activities include fishing, hiking, biking, photography, wildlife viewing and horseback riding. Many guests enjoy participating in the day-to-day ranch activities, which might include trailing cattle or sheep, taking supplies to our sheepherders in their high country camps, branding calves, docking lambs and evaluating range lands.
In the Little Snake River Valley, you can enjoy rodeos, cutting horse contests and community picnics. Savery offers a wonderful museum featuring the early history of homesteaders, outlaws, and trappers.. Visitors can tour Mountain Man Jim Baker's cabin, an authentic homestead house, and see the memorabilia of Doctor Noyes, who drove his team and buggy to deliver babies, and lawman John Terrill.
In the nearby resort town of Steamboat Springs, visitors can visit the weekly rodeo and various summer fests, shop, and soak in the famous hot springs.
